Sitting amidst familiar,
I feel alien.
Bright lights, lively, life
shine onto everyone
yet I feel shadowed.
A hole a gap to be filled
remains empty,
for days
neglected, ignored
but persistent, resurfacing
again and again.
I need space to be,
but sometimes the space
is suffocating.
Fullness feels empty
and I crave for more
for something,
that deep breaths let in,
it fills me up,
acknowledgment.
